MegaPath Receives 2016 Hosted VoIP Excellence Award

October 24, 2016

It’s been a great few months for MegaPath in terms of awards. The provider of voice, data, security and cloud services has been on a roll lately, it seems. Back in September, the company received the 2016 Communications Solutions Products of the Year Award from TMC. Fast forward to this month, and the company has announced that it was once again recognized by TMC. This time around, MegaPath’s Hosted Voice offering was chosen as a winner of the 2016 Internet Telephony Hosted VoIP Excellence Award.

The 2016 Internet Telephony Hosted VoIP Excellence Award recognizes solutions that have demonstrated innovation, unique features and noteworthy developments. The solution must also improve the functionality and usability for customers, making it as easy as possible for people to use the product.

According to TMC, MegaPath’s Hosted Voice does all of the above. Rich Tehrani, CEO at TMC stated the reasons behind MegaPath’s recognition by saying, “MegaPath has consistently demonstrated outstanding quality and has delivered exceptional solutions for its customers.”

The solution is stated to provide organizations with more functionality than traditional phone systems, which enables companies of all sizes to work more efficiently and therefore increase productivity. The ability of systems to enable employees to work as efficiently as possible is becoming more and more important in today’s workforce.

Hosted Voice does this by providing users with more than 50 calling and mobility features, including Visual Voicemail with Transcription, Mobile Integration, Do Not Disturb, N-Way Calling, Call Recording, Call Center services and much more.

Additionally, Hosted Voice supports MegaPath’s unified communications (UC) platform, which combines IP business telephony with video calling, instant messaging, presence, audio and video conferencing, and screen sharing. All of this occurs in a single application that works on Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad and Android smartphones and tablets, making it easy to use on basically any device.

Dan Foster, President of Business Markets at MegaPath, described how excited the company is to be recognized by TMC again: “MegaPath is honored to be recognized once again by TMC for its innovation in IP communication.” Although the company has made many advances so far, it’s not done improving itself or the experiences it offers customers.  “We continue to invest in our voice and unified communications offerings to give our customers the most feature-rich, all-in-one unified communications, collaboration and advanced telephony solution that truly empowers employees to be mobile, interact better and be more productive,” concluded Foster.
