Call Recording Week in Review: Voiptime, Dubber, FCA

Welcome to the latest version of Call Recording Week in Review where we highlight all the biggest headlines from this past week in the Call Recording space.

This week, Voiptime, a call center solutions developer, announced it will release a new cloud predictive dialer to help make it easier for agents to conduct debt collection calls.

With the dialer, agents will be able to call more agents in one day’s time and can work to help companies focus on the goal of collecting lost financial resources.

Also this week, call recording provider Dubber announced that it is going with MNF Group to offer more cloud-based call recording capabilities for users.

Not just the recording, but also the storing of those recordings in a safe, cloud environment.

Speaking of storing of recorded communications, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has said that there is push back happening for the Mifid II EU legislation. The Markets in Financial Instruments Directive notes that recordings must be kept for a minimum of five years. While the goal is to ensure protection for both sides of any dispute, smaller firms believe they are not properly equipped to take on the costs associated with call recording technologies and the. Work to find better solutions for their needs is underway.
